At 17, I joined a yoga class for the 1st time, it was awful and I was sure I would never do it again. Until I was pregnant with my first child. It’s when I tried again and truly found yoga. I enjoyed my prenatal classes and I came back to it 6 weeks postpartum. I deepened my practice even more when I was pregnant with my 2nd child a few months later. Yoga was not only what I needed during my pregnancies and postpartum for obvious reasons, the practice of yoga changed my life for the better. One year after giving birth I decided to join a 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training. I was hooked by the end of the first training day. The teacher called me to the front to teach a pose we just studied, “half sun salutation”. I was terrified and thought “why me?! I can’t teach in front of a class full of yogis.” I did it anyway and then I knew. I knew I want to teach.
2023 I got my pre- and postnatal teacher certification and got pregnant again.
I deepened my practice in this area and continued to educate myself with more teacher trainings.
In March 2024, I gave birth to our 3rd child and I had the most EMPOWERING experience I could ever have. How it came to this wonderful event? Through my yoga PRACTICE. Through my mental and physical preparation.
While I was pregnant, I created a yoga course specifically designed for 3rd trimester that prepares expecting moms for the best labour and birth experience possible. What I taught my students I used as well during my own labour and birth. It was epic. Now I feel even more called to guide pregnant women in their preparation to the most positive birth experience possible for them.
Giving birth can be an extreme positive transformative event and how we experience it determines our start in our new life as a mom and the relationship with our newborn. That is worth the right PREPARATION.
Practicing with me as your teacher means being hold and guided the whole time, not only during your booked sessions but also in between.
